Waitoki has been a hustle and bustle this week as our annual Mothers Day High Tea nears on Saturday. Ten students from Ruma Rima were selected to be waitstaff after applying for the job via an application letter. All money raised will go towards a new sports uniform including tracksuit and jacket. Good luck you wonderful students!
We are loving The Arts integrated inquiry. So far we have completed two artist studies, the first being a New Zealand artist and the second an Australian artist. Ms Brown recalled an art lesson when she was at Auckland University a few years ago and the students loved the challenge of recreating a dinner setting placement using themes of their New Zealand artist.
Challenges included making the bowls 3D, as everything needed to pop off the A4 card somehow. Another challenge was making sure everything was secure on the page with PVA glue and using your resources wisely.
Thank you Robert from Auckland University for inspiring our budding artists.
