There is plenty of celebrating around the school and in the classroom as the end of the year looms. We have been celebrating the small things like getting one word more in our Schonell spelling tests than last term, or getting five more than last time on our knowledge numeracy tests . . . FANTASTIC!
We have also been celebrating some big things . . . in particular the Hindu festivities around Diwali (festival of lights). Today we were very lucky to have Parag come in and share his knowledge around the celebrations around good over evil, peace, diya's, Hindu clothing and food.
The story Parag shared of the return of Lord Rama, his wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana was so engaging, and gave us a greater understanding around the importance of the celebration. Thank you Parag (and family).
